Rev. Mike Hough
Mike is co-owner of Kauai Island Weddings and the Kauai Country Inn, and wears many hats within the company. Mike is the main Wedding Coordinator and the person you're most likely to be talking to on the phone. He is also one of our busiest Wedding Minsters and Professional Photographers.
Mike's background is in photography and advertising and he holds a full Technology degree from Birmingham University, England. He has worked in virtually every area of those industries both in Europe and America, and spent the best part of the 80's and 90's running his own advertising agency, which focused on the movie industry in Hollywood, California; working on the launch of major motion pictures and new television series, as well as with some of the biggest international companies in Europe.
He moved to Kauai with his wife Martina, and son Johannes, to enjoy the Hawaiian culture and weather which they had fallen in love with over many visits to the Islands. Besides being a seasoned photographer and videographer, he is also widely experienced in both computers and software application and has, with Martina, produced 25 software titles whilst in the Islands. Their many Awards span those different industries over the last 40 years, but he has found his true calling in the Wedding Industry. When not shooting weddings, or editing wedding photos, he's happy marrying people.

Martina Hough
Martina is co-owner of Kauai Island Weddings and Kauai Country Inn, and wears as many hats as Mike. She is the web master responsible for all the imagery, functionality and design of the websites, as well as being the financial officer for the company. Running a parallel course with Mike in the 80's and 90's she is a seasoned professional photographer & videographer, with a perfect eye for layout and color.
Martina also runs the Kauai Country Inn almost single handedly, but still finds time to shoot wedding videos and photos at many of the weddings we are fortunate to perform. Having graduated from Bonn University in Germany before moving to America, she is bilingual in German and English, and is the heart and soul of the business. |

Johannes Gorissen
Johannes is Kauai Island Weddings main photographer.
Jo is warm and considerate, coaxing the best emotions out of the sometimes nervous Bride and Groom, giving exceptional photographic results. Couples and their families have often difficulty expressing their feelings, because words just don't exist they say, to convey how beautiful the images are.
Jo is also an experienced landscape & portrait photographer, as well as a seasoned computer operator who is just as comfortable with the camera as with color management. He is involved with web site updates and design of coffee table books. Johannes is Martina's son and Mike's step-son by marriage.

Rev. Todd Fuerte
As one of the few native born Hawaiian Ministers in Kauai, Reverend Todd brings a unique and genuine island flavor to our weddings. Born on Oahu, which is referred to in Hawaii as the "gathering place", he has lived in Kauai most of his life. He is an accomplished photographer with many years of experience in both Wedding and Sports photography. He is relaxed and confident, both in his performance of ceremonies and his photography.
Our couples have nothing but good things to say about him, and he's a joy to work with.

Rev. Shannon Kay
Shannon completes our staff as our female minister.
She has gained a degree in photography and brings a fresh eye to Kauai Island Wedding's photography team. She is warm and joyful in her ceremonies and creative and confident when working with our wedding couples.

Keola
Our favorite Hawaiian Musician was born and raised in Hawaii, played with the world famous singer/song writer IZ, and is a well known and beloved on the island. He will serenade you with "Over the Rainbow" while you "walk down the isle", beautiful local Hawaiian songs during the ceremony, and will finish the wedding ceremony with the traditional Hawaiian Wedding song. It's a once in a lifetime experience, enjoy!

Hi, Mike and Martina,
I have been meaning to email you for a long time, and things are just so busy! Now, more than four months after spending a week in paradise, I’m finally taking the time to do so!
My husband Mike and I really appreciate that you helped to make our wedding what it was. I have wanted this type of wedding since I was a little girl, but what I got was much better than I ever dreamed it would be. I couldn’t imagine a better – or easier – way to plan a wedding. Your help in getting everything ready – the flowers, the location, the vows, the photography – was incredible. Because of how stress-free you made the day, we could enjoy it 100% without any worries. We enjoyed each other and our families instead, and that is priceless.
We received the wedding book and DVD and are so incredibly impressed. I keep our book in my classroom where teachers and students all love to come and see what our day was like. I hear only wonderful comments about the beautiful pictures you took!
We’d someday like to return to Hawaii – especially the island of Kauai – to share the beauty with our children. And speaking of that, I’d also like to share with you some news! Mike and I are expecting a baby at the end of September!

We are unbelievably stoked and happy with the wedding. Shelby told me after that it was a perfect wedding and I can only agree. Everybody that was there has repeatedly told us it was the most perfect wedding they have ever seen or heard of. Beautiful, no hitches, smooth, simple, did I say already beautiful? - just fantastic. I have to get out my thesaurus to come up with more words to describe it.
The pictures are amazing. Breathtaking. Beautiful. You and Johannes did an outstanding job. Really. I have gotten so many compliments already I'm even getting a little tired of it.
If I could award you guys with medals or official commendations I would. The service was perfect. The pictures are amazing. My mother saw them and cried. The Kauai Country Inn is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. It is so wonderful to arrive to a beautiful Inn and have it already feel like home instead of arriving to some stuffy hotel room. We were happy to find chocolates and champagne waiting for us and loved the beauty and comfort of our suite. We loved waking up each morning to the sunrise coming through our window, the chirping of the birds and geckos and of course the unforgettable roosters! All of the staff was amazing. Thank you so much for making our wedding and honeymoon a stress free, wonderful, fun and beautiful time! We will definitely come back as I'm sure no other hotel or Inn can compare.
