Kauai Wedding Locations
Kauai offers scenic tropical locations, and stunningly beautiful beaches to get married on. Please pick from our favorite wedding spots below, and check out our recommendations for wedding times (summer or winter), and what to wear for a tropical beach wedding. Please also see our map of Kauai to show you where the beaches are located.*
TIP: The best way to choose a beach location is to start from where you will be staying on the island. If you are enjoying a hotel on the south shore you may not want to get married on the north shore as it would be about an hour and a half in driving time from the south shore to the north shore (each way!). If you're staying somewhere on the east side of Kauai you could get married most anywhere as this location is very central with no wedding beach more than a 30-45 minute drive away, and many as close as a 5 minute drive from your hotel or B&B.
* Please note that from experience we choose not to go further North than Hanalei, or further West than Poipu.
#1 Lydgate Beach Park - East Side of Kauai This is a beach park that offers some nice secluded beaches, that are perfect for a mid afternoon ceremony. There is a tree we like to perform the ceremony under and a couple of isolated beaches on either side of the tree that are great for picture taking. We suggest to start at 3 PM in the SUMMER, and 2 PM in the WINTER time.
No site or drive out fees.
The Department of Land & Natural Resources of the State of Hawaii is requiring a Use PERMIT for all beach weddings starting August 1, 2008. The fee for this permit, that we'll file on your behalf, is depending on the size of your group, and will cost you between $75 - $150.

#8-A Wailua Beach - East Side of Kauai
This is a beach that offers a really nice secluded wedding spot, perfect for a mid afternoon ceremony. The North Shore locations are more lush and tropical, but Kauai's North Shore also gets more rain, which means that the weather can be uncooperative, especially in the winter months. The South Shore locations are more hot and sunny - and the weather tends to be mostly sunny. The East Shore is somewhere in between, but as the trade winds usually come from the east, offers some nice breezes, which keeps everyone cooler. Please make sure to wear light and airy wedding attire to feel comfortable on the beach, as heavy fabrics can make you feel overheated.

Aloha Martina and Mike,
Thank You! I am writing to tell you what a wonderful experience our family had at Nicole and Nathan's wedding ceremony. I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful you are. It was a little scary for us with not knowing anyone who has done this over the internet before but..... I would recommend you to everyone I know.
The pictures and the videos were amazing! What a great job! I also think the coffee table book was outstanding! Pat yourselves on the back, you made my daughter and her new husband very happy.
My partner and I had the great privilege of staying at the Tea Garden Cottage and it was so serene and peaceful! Again, Thank You! We will be back….and we have been telling everyone how wonderful you both are.

Dear Mike and Martina, We just wanted to send you a heartfelt thank you for making our wedding day so incredibly amazing. When we received the pictures and the book we were totally blown away by your work and professionalism. As the wedding day was, the pictures and book were so much better then we could have ever imagined! And we had imagined an incredible day! The ease, kindness, and laughter we shared with all of you was truly memorable and made our day so special. Thank you so much for your beautiful work and your Aloha spirit!

Aloha from "Africa-hot" Oklahoma!
We were very sad to leave the island and even sadder to arrive home. Neither of us can wait to move out of here to someplace a lot nicer. Thanks for getting the video out so fast! We just finalized all the reception arrangements, so the video will be the icing on the cake (so to speak!) Angela and I are both impressed with your level of success, your knowledge of various business adventures, and mostly, how happy you both seem. Thanks again!
