How to get the best wedding photos...
Best LIGHT for photos
Start your wedding at 3 PM in the summer & 2 PM in the winter months (East Shore Beaches).
Clean, crisp photos with bright color.
OK LIGHT for photos
Start your wedding at 4 PM in the summer & 3 PM in the winter months.
Faces can be in shadow, when turned away from the sun.
Eye squint and long shadows because of the angle of the sunlight.
SUNSET LIGHT for photos
Start your wedding at 4:00 PM in the winter, but no later than 5:00 PM in the summer.
Pretty glow, but remember that this glow only lasts a short time and it gets dark very quickly after - which some of the photos below show.
The light conditions are different on the East, North, and South Shores of Kauai. We suggest to start your wedding no later than 2 PM - 3 PM for an East Shore wedding (depending on summer or winter), while you can get away with starting a little later on the North and South Shores.
What to wear to your Beach Wedding
Wear something light and airy for your Kauai Beach Wedding. Heavy fabrics can make you feel uncomfortably hot.
